It was cold today – 55F 13C – Windy and roads were still wet but no rain. After riding the newly paved sakura roads I took a different route and found a 20% to 24% grade hill – great for sprint work or a mini time trail of sorts. After climbing the hill I backtracked and found myself on Rd 15 and then Rd 8 – in the mix I found some serious goat paths – gonna have to revisit this ride. A couple savage dogs – unlike my friend Marty – I cannot soothe em with a whistle so I resorted to kicking the meanest one in the face with my cleat. Sorry mean-ass dog.

Nathan, no kidding about cold and wet today. I also got hit with lots of traffic and stop lights going into Taipei by Songshan airport.
Where’s that steep hill you found? I need to try my new 26T inner-chain ring on it.
Traffic and stop lights – argh – I know rides where you never see cars – I got that hill for you – and the blue wall – you gotta head over here SOON.

Hi Nathan:
Don’t know why I have not found my way here until now. Great Blog! Great pix and videos! Now that I know where you are, I guess I’ll pay you a visit whenever there is a new cycling adventurous story to tell.
